About Novadette

Understanding science, for all. Novadette is made for students, teachers, engineers and anyone who is curious. Each topic has a few tabs with different situations to explore: you can solve for any quantity, change a value and see the result and the graph change straight away, and try the ready-made input examples.

Every calculator page has the same parts: the formula, the inputs, a live graph or diagram, the result with the most useful related numbers, a short explanation, a reference table, worked techniques and the sources it is based on. Units can be chosen per field, and every page works in light and dark mode.

• Based on textbooks. The methods follow standard textbooks and papers, listed under “Sources & Verification” on every page.
• Checked independently. The results of every calculator are compared with values that were worked out separately — by hand or with separate code — not with the calculator’s own scripts.
• Tested automatically. Each calculator has its own set of test cases that are run again after every change.
• Assumptions stated. Every page says which simplifications it uses (for example: no air resistance, constant churn, a straight demand line), so you can judge whether they fit your situation.
